It's not the New York Times Bestseller List (no romance novels and few mysteries or pulp horror reviews) or the Critic's picks (why are these awards often for erudition rather than decent storytelling?) - these are the thoughts and recommendations of a lifetime reader who just might be able to help other bibliophiles sort through the massive choices out there for the golden ones.
